A number of regulations apply to the Aviation Service Provider training course regarding work clothing and appearance.

You'll wear company uniforms at work. The school will pay for this and will organize a fitting day before the program begins. You'll receive an email invitation for this. Here's what's required. for women (pdf) en for men (pdf).

General provisions Uniform regulations

  1. Wearing clothing other than company uniforms is not permitted. Students must wear purchased uniforms as prescribed.
  2. The students wear the uniform from the beginning to the end of their lessons/work.
  3. No uniform is worn outside of work or school hours, except when travelling from home to work and vice versa.
  4. If necessary, the raincoats can be worn over the overcoats.
  5. It is not permitted to attach other accessories to the uniform.
  6. The use of private mobile phones is not permitted during work activities and in sight of passengers.
  7. No alterations may be made to the issued uniforms or uniform components at the employee's discretion. If alterations are made to the uniform, the employee will be returned to its original condition or replaced at the employee's expense.

General uniform rules

Female students:
  • Shoes; these should be simple, without decorations or stitching, dark blue/black, leather, pump-style, with a hook height of 3 cm to 5 cm.
  • Tights; skin-colored, 15-20 denier, smooth, transparent. Due to the constant climate in the terminal, tights should be worn year-round.
Male students:
  • Low black leather shoes with leather or thin rubber soles. Suede or patent leather shoes are not permitted. Shoes should be simple and unadorned.
  • Black belt with a simple buckle.
  • Plain dark blue or black socks.

Appearance and style

  1. Attention should be paid to good physical and appearance grooming.
  2. Preventing body odor and ensuring fresh breath is essential. Use lotion, perfume, and eau de toilette sparingly.
  3. Hats, caps, and other items that cover (part of) the face or hair are not permitted. Religious head coverings are permitted as long as they comply with safety and uniform guidelines.
  4. Correct behavior must be maintained at all times on the work floor. Reading private literature, drinking, eating or snacking, or chewing gum is absolutely prohibited outside the cafeterias. Carrying your mobile phone during classes or on duty is also prohibited; it must be stored in your locker or bag. Furthermore, proper language is mandatory.
  5. Visible piercings* and tattoos are not permitted, as are tongue piercings, extreme hairstyles and/or brightly coloured hair.
  6. Glasses and sunglasses should match the uniform. Frames should be simple, neutral in color (non-contrasting), and modest in size.
The following regulations also apply to female students in uniform:
  • The blouse should be tucked into the skirt or trousers, with only the top button undone. The sleeves should not be rolled up.
  • Wearing the scarf is mandatory.
  • Hairstyle: Hair must not hang below the shoulders or in the face. A ponytail is permitted provided it does not exceed shoulder length. If this is not possible, hair must be braided or pinned up. Elastics and hair clips must be dark blue, black, or the same color as the hair. Headbands are permitted provided they are dark blue, black, or the same color as the hair. They must be plain and no wider than 2 cm.
  • Make up: Modest make up is required.
  • (Artificial/gel) Nails should be well-groomed and should not extend beyond the edge of the finger by more than 0.5 cm. Nail polish in subtle, solid colors is permitted. Glitter, rhinestones, or other embellishments are not permitted. Furthermore, painted nails should be neatly maintained. Avoid trendy and flashy colors such as black, green, blue, glitter, etc. In principle, nail polish should match the lipstick.
  • Jewelry/ Accessories:
    • A watch (silver, rose or gold colored).
    • A bracelet, no wider than 1 cm.
    • Modest earrings, with one stud or one ring in each earlobe, maximum diameter 1 cm, possibly with a pendant of maximum 1x1 cm.
    • A maximum of one modest ring on each hand.
The following regulations also apply to male students in uniform:
  • The blouse should be worn tucked into the trousers with all buttons closed.
  • The sleeves should not be rolled up.
  • The jacket should be worn as much as possible. When wearing a waistcoat, the blazer may also be removed.
  • Wearing a tie is mandatory.
  • Hairstyle: Hair may reach no longer than the shirt collar. Haircuts that cover the ears are permitted, provided they are well-groomed.
  • Jewelry/Accessories: Male employees may wear a simple ring, a watch (gold or silver colored) and a simple bracelet, in addition to a wedding ring.
