What are you becoming?
As a full-service optician, you can work at an optician's shop. You'll be in class with students pursuing the Level 4 Optician degree. During your studies, you can choose to graduate at either Level 3 or Level 4. This choice can be made at any time. With a Level 3 diploma, you can work as an employee at an optician's shop, while with a Level 4 diploma, you can start your own shop or work as a branch manager. With a Level 4 diploma, you can also progress to a higher professional education program, such as Optometry or Business Administration.
What does your education look like?
You'll attend school five days a week until January. After that, you'll start your internship. From then on, you'll intern two days a week and attend classes three days a week.
Our curriculum is tailored to you, allowing you to determine your own learning pace. We'll discuss how quickly you can complete the program after the first 10 weeks.
From January 2025, you will have lessons in our new, modern learning environment at Sterrenlaan 10 in Eindhoven.

What prior education do you need?
For the vocational training (level 3) and middle management training (level 4) you must meet one of the following conditions:
- You have a diploma in pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track, a theoretical pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track, or a mixed pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track.
- You have an (older) diploma from lbo, vbo, mavo or mavo-vbo.
- You have a basic vocational training diploma (level 2) or a diploma from another vocational training course (level 3).
- You have proof that you successfully completed the first three years of pre-university or senior general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo). Or you have another diploma or certificate recognized by the government.
