All-round hairdresser (bbl)

Working with all techniques and all hair types

As a hairstylist, you'll diagnose hair and scalp conditions and advise clients on new hairstyles. This involves considering facial shapes, personality, and colors, as well as trends and new techniques.

In a hair salon, you're in your element. You treat every client who opens the door as a new challenge. You'll diagnose hair and scalp and advise clients on new hairstyles. This involves considering facial shapes, personality, and colors. You'll also explore trends and new techniques, and advise on hair care and products. Together with your colleagues, you'll create a welcoming atmosphere. You're a natural at sensing when clients want to chat with you.

You'll become a versatile hairdresser or hairstylist, whether male or female. You'll start with the basics, where you'll learn all the fundamental hairdressing skills: welcoming clients, washing, cutting, coloring, and blow-drying.

After the basic section, you'll choose between the women's or men's profile section. You'll learn all the practical skills, focused on either women's or men's hair. You'll also learn all about hair types and care. Throughout the entire program, your training company is the central focus, and you'll collaborate extensively with them to complete assignments.

We also pay attention to your personal grooming; after all, you are the face of the hair salon.

Contributing to sustainable development

The Summa Beauty & Lifestyle Hair Care team wants to show everyone what sustainable development means in the hairdressing profession.

The UN has established seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030. These goals are intended to make the world a better place for everyone. In hair care programs, you'll contribute to achieving several of these goals, for example, in the areas of waste, health, food, water, or climate.

Examples are Reducing water pollution, using fair-trade suppliers, separating hairdressing waste to reuse raw materials in collaboration with Green Scissors, and much more. It's inspiring to participate in this together with your fellow students and colleagues.
