All-round interior professional (bbl)

Specialist in installing floor coverings, stair coverings, and window decorations

As an all-round interior professional (also known as a home furnisher), you are the specialist in laying floor coverings, installing window coverings and sun protection, in homes as well as in businesses and public buildings. You master the techniques of home furnishing like no other. You can handle various materials and tools in all types of spaces. You lay floor coverings, vinyl, or laminate, hang curtains, and install sun protection.

You work in simple rectangular rooms, but also in spaces with curves or an open staircase. No space is too complex for you! Prior to the job, you carefully take the measurements of the room. Because you are the specialist, you guide colleagues accompanying you to the client. Furthermore, you are the client's primary point of contact on location.

During the course, you will learn various specialized laying techniques for floor coverings on floors and stairs, as well as installation techniques for window coverings and sun protection. Measuring spaces and determining the amount of materials to be used is also part of the training. Naturally, you will also receive instruction in general subjects such as Dutch, mathematics, career development, and citizenship.

The course was developed in consultation with and as part of a national campaign by the Project Design Industry Association and the INretail Industry Association.
