What are you becoming?
You can work for a masonry company, construction company, contractor, or start your own business. Further education is also an option. Complete your level 1 training in one year. You'll then take the level 3 All-round Bricklayer course.
What does your education look like?
During the course, you'll learn all the masonry techniques you'll later apply in construction. You'll learn about placing elements, applying joints, and applying adhesives. Everything you need and want to learn to create perfect walls, chimneys, and beautiful decorative work.
You work 4 days a week at a training company and go to school 1 day a week.

Elective courses
During your studies, you choose one or more electives to specialize or broaden your knowledge. For example, in entrepreneurship, management, programming, or a language. You'll receive more information about the electives available during your program. Each elective concludes with an exam. Read more about elective courses.

What prior education do you need?
For basic vocational training (level 2) you must meet one of the following conditions:
- You have a diploma in pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a basic vocational track, a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a framework vocational track, a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a theoretical track, or a mixed track.
- You have an (older) diploma from lbo, vbo, mavo or mavo-vbo.
- You have an entry-level training or basic vocational training diploma (level 2).
- You have proof that you have successfully completed the first three years of pre-university or senior general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo). This proof is recognized by the government.

Work
During a personal interview or introductory meeting, we'll determine whether this program is a good fit for you. To participate in this program, you must work at an accredited training company. If you don't work for such a company, we'll help you find one.
