Business Administration (bol)
More information.
What are you becoming?
You can start as an employee and progress to a manager, supervisor, or consultant at a small or medium-sized (wholesale) company. You'll analyze business operations and collaborate with your colleagues to improve the company's results. In wholesale, you'll capitalize on market opportunities. You'll also be involved in day-to-day tasks.
This program offers excellent preparation in business economics, management, logistics, marketing, and sales, enabling successful transfer to higher professional education programs such as Business Economics, Commercial Economics, and Small Business and Retail Management. Students with a transition certificate from 3rd to 4th year of pre-university secondary education (HAVO/VWO) are also welcome to apply, with a vocational diploma in hand. Starting your own business alongside your studies and expanding later is perfectly possible, but we do recommend gaining experience at various companies first.
What does your education look like?
Year 1 is a foundation year in which you attend classes together with students from the Commercial Assistant, (Junior) Account Manager, and Recruiter programs.
Practical assignments form the foundation of the program. You'll learn professional skills through lectures, workshops, group learning, or independent study. You'll work on these assignments for regional companies in the commercial center. Your learning process could include coaching during telephone sales, guidance in market research, or even pitching your results to your client. This effective learning method offers ample opportunities to adapt to your learning style.
During this challenging program, you'll be challenged to come up with creative solutions. You'll learn sales and influencing techniques by applying your commercial and financial knowledge. The program combines an internship (from the first year onwards) and school. You can find a suitable internship yourself.
The learning years consist of: 15% elective parts, 35% profile part, 50% basic part.
Education and Examination Regulations (OER)
The Education and Examination Regulations (OER) of a course specify what you will be doing in which period, how much time is spent on this and an overview of the exams that will be taken. Find the OER for your course here.
