Care and welfare assistant (bol)

With your service-oriented attitude you offer people a helping hand

Do you enjoy helping others? Then a career as a Healthcare and Welfare Assistant is perfect for you.

In this profession, you have a service-oriented attitude and offer a helping hand to people. This often involves the elderly, the sick, or people with disabilities who need assistance in their living environment. It can also involve children in foster families.

You'll assist with housework, activities, and support with eating and drinking. You'll also help with care tasks such as toileting, washing, and dressing. You'll take the client's wishes, habits, and abilities into account. At school, you'll learn the necessary knowledge and skills, and during your internship, you can immediately put these skills into practice.

During the program, we'll work with you to determine which learning path suits you best. Depending on your abilities, this may mean you can complete the program faster or slower. The standard starting date is August. If you'd like to start later, we'll discuss the possibilities with you. We may find a suitable time for you to enroll.
