What are you becoming?
With your entry-level diploma, you can work both indoors and outdoors at a construction or painting company, in the carpentry or furniture industry, or at a timber yard. You may also be able to continue your studies at a level 2 vocational education (MBO) program.

You'll have a permanent mentor and work in a group of up to 16 students. You'll receive intensive guidance and theoretical and practical lessons at school.
Education and Examination Regulations (OER)
In the Education and Examination Regulations (OER) of a study program, you can read what you will be doing in which period, how much time is spent on this, and an overview of the exams that will be administered. Find the OER for your study program here.
Search by your Crebo number (see the box on the right of this page) to view the OER for the current academic year. This will give you a general idea of what's expected of you when you start the program. The OER for the upcoming academic year will be available in July.
Statutory tuition fees
The statutory tuition fee for the 2027-2028 academic year amounts to 323 euros.
Other costs
You pay €75 for learning materials. The school uses this to purchase all learning resources, such as consumables and software licenses. This also covers additional tests and exams.
Elective courses
You will take subjects such as Dutch, arithmetic, career guidance, digital skills, and citizenship. In addition, there are electives that allow you to choose what you want to learn. You will receive more information about this during your studies. You complete each elective with an exam.
What prior education do you need?
For the entrance course (level 1) you must meet one of the following conditions:
- You are at least 16 years old on August 1 of the year in which you start the course.
- You cannot follow a level 2, 3, or 4 vocational education course because you do not meet the admission requirements for those courses.

You have a dedicated mentor and work one day a week at school in a group of up to 16 students. You receive intensive guidance and attend theory lessons at school. In addition, you work at least 24 hours per week at a training company.
