Become the rock in the surf for your clients

Do you want to effectively support clients who live at home and require care? In this training, you'll develop the skills to effectively and safely provide personal and daily care and support in residential settings. You'll learn how to motivate clients and support their independence. You'll also learn to recognize and respond to changes in their health. Furthermore, you'll enhance your communication skills and knowledge of common medical conditions.

This course is a great step if you want to develop your skills in home care. After completing the course, you'll be able to support clients expertly, respectfully, and confidently. This way, you'll make a difference every day for people who need support at home.

You will learn this

  • Support with household tasks and personal care
  • Performing activities related to daily care (ADL activities)
  • Observing and reporting changes in the client's situation
  • Collaborate with the network, colleagues and community nurses
  • Communication skills aimed at demand-oriented and respectful support
  • Professional conduct in accordance with the guidelines and frameworks of Healthcare and Welfare Assistants

10 weeks, with 7 days of lessons from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each day includes both theory and practice. Expect 6 hours of home study per day.

Preliminary training

You don't need any specific prior education. You must work at least 14 hours per week in healthcare.

For Whom

This course is suitable for you if you want to work in the healthcare and welfare sector or if you want to progress in that sector.

Certificate of Education

After successfully completing the lessons and the corresponding practical exam, you will receive a nationally recognized vocational certificate. This certificate will be registered in the DUO diploma register.
