Host/Hostess (bol)

From reception to experience: you make the difference

As a host or hostess, you're the face of a hotel, restaurant, café, or hospitality business. You greet guests and help them choose a drink or a delicious meal. Your smile and helpful advice ensure every guest has a wonderful time.

As a host or hostess, you'll learn how to properly welcome guests, advise them, take orders, and serve them. You'll also learn how to plan effectively and prepare for your workspace. If a guest has a complaint, you'll resolve it. That's why you'll practice many of these situations at the Smmaak training restaurant and at Summa Plaza.

Hospitality is hard work in a friendly environment. If you learn this trade, you'll make sure a lot of people have a successful evening or day. That's a real joy!

This course is part of the first year of the Hospitality broad basic yearIn addition to a broad hospitality foundation, you'll focus on kitchen, service, recreation, and/or facility management skills. You'll indicate your initial preferred direction(s). If you'd like to change direction during the first year, this is always possible.
In the second year you will specialize and choose your final major.
