Logistics employee at DAF

Want a well-paid job and earn a vocational diploma at the same time? You can at DAF! At the DAF Logistics Vocational School, you'll develop into a true logistics professional. In a small class of about 12 students, you'll learn all the ins and outs of DAF's logistics in 1,5 months.

You'll work four days a week in two shifts at the DAF campus in Eindhoven. You'll alternate between working in one of our warehouses, such as the PACCAR Parts Distribution Center, and in our DAF factories: the Truck Factory, the Engine Factory, the Sheet Metal Component Factory, and the Central Parts Warehouse. This way, you'll gain experience in various logistics environments. You'll also receive training one day a week from a permanent Summa instructor and experienced DAF colleagues.

You will learn everything you need to become a logistics professional at DAF Trucks.

You will learn, among other things:

• Working safely in a logistics environment.
• Logistics processes from receiving, storing and checking goods (inbound) and maintaining inventory levels to delivery to production teams.
• Collecting goods (picking) and sending them (outbound).
• Driving a forklift and reach truck.
• Digital skills and lean methodologies to make work smarter and easier.
• Coaching leadership and management.
• Language skills in Dutch and English.
• Mathematics, career development and citizenship.

Throughout the program, you'll be guided step-by-step by experienced colleagues and a permanent instructor. After 1,5 years, you'll have an official vocational diploma and a permanent position at DAF.
