You'll explore your talents, who you are, and what you want. You'll explore education and/or careers in the technology sector, so you can choose the right training program for you later.

- Practical lessons in various technical sectors, such as mechatronics, ICT, engineering, automotive, etc.
- Company visits to various companies in the area, where you can see what you can become with a technical education.
- Theory lessons that prepare you to smoothly enter the course of your choice.
- Career lessons and personal guidance in choosing a study.

Are you choosing a future in the high-tech and semiconductor industry? Then you are choosing a field where standards are high. You will work with complex systems, digitalization, and precision software. A professional education includes professional equipment you can rely on.
To support you with this, there is the government initiative study voucherStudents starting a full-time technical program specializing in the semiconductor industry – a program like this one – receive a voucher worth €500. This voucher serves as a contribution towards the purchase costs of a suitable study laptop via selected partner webshops. This ensures that everyone, regardless of background, can start the program with the right professional equipment.
How does it work?
After your final registration for this course, you will receive more information about redeeming the voucher and the required laptop specifications. Therefore, please wait a little longer before purchasing your laptop.

What does your education look like?
You'll attend classes at the Summa Engineering location, interspersed with practical training at other Summa engineering schools, company visits, and individual guidance. Your class schedule averages 20-25 hours per week.

Statutory tuition fees
The statutory tuition fee for the 2026-2027 school year is €1.511. Check DUO.nl for possible student financing.
Other costs
This only applies to students who are eighteen years or older on August 1st. The cost of learning materials is approximately €350, excluding a laptop.

This program includes electives. You can apply the results of your electives, which you complete with an exam, to your further education. You'll receive more information about the electives available during the program. Read more about elective courses.
What prior education do you need?
To be admitted to this program you need at least:
- diploma from MAVO, VMBO vocational, theoretical or mixed learning pathway or;
- you have completed a maximum of 1 year of vocational education level 3 or 4, or;
- transition certificate from 3 to 4 havo or vwo; AND
- the motivation to work on yourself and your study choice at and outside school; and
- the willingness and commitment to experience and explore new things.
In addition, it's important that you can attend regular school, that you have good attendance, that you function well in a group, and that you're ready to start working on your study choice and personal development. We'll explore this during a personal intake interview with you and your parent(s)/guardian(s).

After your registration you will be invited for an intake interview.
Do you receive a diploma or certificate?
This program does not lead to a diploma or certificate, but is intended to help you make a well-informed study choice. You can take an elective course and have the opportunity to conclude it with an exam. You can carry this result forward to your further education.
