You will learn this

At school and during your internship, you'll learn how to interact and collaborate professionally with clients, family members, and colleagues. You'll constantly consider the client's needs and requirements, ensuring they maintain control over their own lives. You'll be flexible and work irregular hours, a skill you'll begin developing during your training.

Your clients require temporary or long-term support with their daily activities or their ability to function in society. You'll support them with independent living, personal care, daytime activities, and leisure activities. You'll support the client in their development and ensure they can live as independently as possible. You'll also develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide demand-driven support, working with colleagues, family members, and other stakeholders to enhance the client's self-direction.
