You work in healthcare and want to develop your skills as a sterile medical devices technician. Or you're currently retraining. In either case, this program is perfect for you.

You will learn this

To perform your professional duties, you need knowledge of the instruments. How are the instruments constructed, how are they used, and what are they used for? You need knowledge of processes and techniques for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing. You also need knowledge of hygiene principles. You'll learn skills you'll need to perform your work in the future. Technological developments are making digital skills increasingly important. You'll apply what you learn in school at work.

You will also receive lessons in Dutch, arithmetic and citizenship, as well as computer skills, social skills and communication.

You'll work in the department with your direct colleagues and with colleagues from the operating room and other hospital departments. During the training, you'll learn to collaborate with colleagues both within and outside your department.
