What are you becoming?
With your diploma in travel & hospitality, you can work for a travel agent, tour operator, as a base host, tour guide, or personal travel advisor in the Netherlands, Europe, or elsewhere in the world.
As a Level 3 independent employee, you'll work in travel, sales, and front- and back-office operations. You can then continue your studies to become a Level 4 manager. With this diploma, you'll lead a team of enthusiastic colleagues. You'll be responsible for the team and ensure everything runs smoothly for everyone.
A move abroad is also possible. The program prepares you well for working in an international environment. Want to continue your studies? You can, for example, in higher professional education (HBO) in Tourism Management, Hotel Management, or Facility Management.
What does your education look like?
Industry afternoon = your weekly field trip.
Every week, you'll go on a trip with your class. You'll visit hotels and tour operators, or go on excursions. Travel industry professionals will also visit the school for inspiring guest lectures.
Languages.
You will study Dutch and English, and you will also learn Spanish – useful for an internship in a Spanish-speaking country.
Internship.
You'll be doing a long-term internship in a practical setting. Want to go abroad? You can! You can also participate in study trips where you'll work on assignments at exciting locations at home or abroad.
You in control.
You'll receive guidance from your study coach and lecturers. You'll develop yourself in a safe environment. This way, you'll learn to take charge of your education and your future.

Elective courses
During your studies, you choose one or more electives to specialize or broaden your knowledge. For example, in entrepreneurship, management, programming, or a language. You'll receive more information about the electives available during your program. Each elective concludes with an exam. Read more about elective courses.
What prior education do you need?
For the vocational training (level 3) and middle management training (level 4) you must meet one of the following conditions:
- You have a diploma in pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track, a theoretical pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track, or a mixed pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track.
- You have an (older) diploma from lbo, vbo, mavo or mavo-vbo.
- You have a basic vocational training diploma (level 2) or a diploma from another vocational training course (level 3).
- You have proof that you successfully completed the first three years of pre-university or senior general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo). Or you have another diploma or certificate recognized by the government.
