Master MIG/MAG welding

You will learn this

You'll learn the professional skills of the MIG/MAG welding process in accordance with NIL guidelines. The course includes (depending on the level) the following topics:

  • Reading and interpreting welding symbols for welding work;
  • Setting up welding equipment for MIG/MAG;
  • Pretreatment of the non-consumable electrode;
  • Selecting shielding gas and filler material;
  • Bonding and welding sequence, taking into account shrinkage formation;
  • Determining the correct sequence and parameters such as: welding wire, gas type, wire speed and voltage;
  • From welding composite workpieces in the PA and PB welding positions (level 1) to welding composite workpieces in all welding positions (level 4).
  • Welded joints of workpieces in unalloyed steel;
  • Applying safety regulations.

At level 4 you choose from:

  • the welding of sheet metal connections
  • the welding of pipe/pipe and pipe/plate connections.

Please indicate your choice clearly when you register.

In the MIG/MAG welding course, we can train you at any level you want: 1, 2, 3, and 4. So you choose the training that suits your needs: from basic technique to specialist. The result is always a recognized diploma from the Dutch Institute for Welding Training (NIL).

You'll be taught by instructors who are among the best in their field. The classes are small and offer plenty of personal attention. The course consists of 20 percent theory and 80 percent practical assignments, so you'll be working independently.
