Safety net construction
Summa wants to prevent students from abandoning or dropping out of a program due to financial difficulties. A safety net has been developed for this purpose. If a work-based learning (BBL) student receives little or no salary, or if an 18+ full-time (BOL) student needs additional support, the student, together with their career counselor/mentor, can submit a request, including a motivation and an explanation of their financial situation, to the SBA Emergency Fund. Your career counselor/mentor can submit your request via the Self-Service Portal on Summa's intranet.
Procedure after submitting an application to the MBO Student Fund
The application is submitted, you will receive a confirmation of receipt at your school email address and then the outcome of the application assessment.
If the application is approved, you will receive an email from the suppliers of the requested learning materials explaining how to place the order. No advance payment is required, and no money will be transferred to the applicant. No invoices will be reimbursed afterward. The approved learning materials are issued in the applicant's name and can only be ordered by the applicant.
