Eindhoven election debate for and by students

04 February 2026
The Student Voice / Election Debate

Students from Eindhoven will hold a debate for the municipal elections on Wednesday, February 25th, titled "The Student Voice." Nearly all political parties will participate to share their perspectives on issues that are particularly important to students. The debate will take place at the BUNKR event venue, the former student center on Kennedylaan.

More than twenty thousand voting students

"Eindhoven is home to over twenty thousand eligible students, and they face specific concerns," says student and initiator Gabriël Nusselder. "Think of finding housing, which is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive, and mental health and safety. That's why we want to give politicians the opportunity to share their views with this large student group. It's also an ideal opportunity for students to get their bearings in the run-up to the municipal elections on March 18th. We also hope the debate will contribute to higher student turnout in those elections."

All students are invited

Students from all Eindhoven educational institutions are welcome to attend the debate. Registration is open via the websiteThe debate is organized by students from TU/e, Fontys, and Summa, with support from the educational institutions. The debate will be moderated by radio and television presenter Cindy de Koning.

Free fries

Doors open at 17:00 PM with free fries and drinks for visitors and participants. The debate itself runs from 17:30 PM to 19:00 PM. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to network and speak with the attending politicians until 20:00 PM. The address is BUNKR, Vincent van den Heuvellaan 11, Eindhoven.
