I knew immediately that I wanted to do this course.
"About five years ago, I moved from Poland to the Netherlands. To learn the language well, I started studying Dutch on my own and then started working. I eventually ended up in an HR role. To further learn and develop in this field, I decided to pursue a degree program," says Kasia Arendsen about the Legal, Insurance & HR Services program.
“I went to the open day at Summa and spent a day at the training program. That gave me some insight; I knew right away that I this training wanted to do. Now I'm in my first year and I work at the Wena employment agency."
Learning and developing
Kasia: "I especially enjoy and find the various law courses interesting. One difference from Polish programs is that this program is practical and you collaborate a lot with fellow students. This allows us to learn and develop faster. I'm also improving my Dutch. Still, it can sometimes be a bit much alongside work and study, and it goes by quickly. The teachers are supportive, and I can always count on help from them and my colleagues. We have a great class, with about 16 fantastic, motivated people. That's the advantage of adult education. We're learning and developing together."
