You earn authority by showing that you know what you're talking about
Patrick Vestjens
Former student Transport and Logistics Manager
As a manager, you need to be not only a problem-solver and able to handle stress, but also an authority figure. Not because you're strict, but because you understand the job and therefore earn respect. As a manager, you're part of the team. You don't tell people how to do things, you demonstrate them. You're the first in and the last out.
It's important to have a passion for transport. Then you'll get a sense of satisfaction from being able to say at the end of a hard week's work that everything went well. As a manager, you need to know a little about everything in the company.
Tip: come visit the school sometime, then you will know what you are choosing. Make a conscious choice. this training, not because you happen to have to do a course.”
