Summa as a second home
For 23-year-old Julieta Grigoryan from Maarheeze, Summa feels like a second home. She successfully completed several financial services and business programs there. Now she's almost finished her vocational training as a Junior Account Manager. "What appeals to me about this program is the variety. You learn how to conduct sales calls, organize promotional activities, and prepare quotes, among other things. And during my internship, I'm not just working in the office; I'm actually out and about. Customer contact, maintaining social media, organizing events—no two days are the same. I love that! That dynamic energizes me."
I connect well with the students, and all the lecturers here know me, even from other programs. And I mean that in a positive way, haha! They're genuinely interested in me and ask how I'm doing. That personal connection makes it special here.
Julieta is ambitious. "If you persevere, you'll get there." Her ambition doesn't stop at this degree. "I want to start my own business someday. But first, I want to complete a higher professional education program and gain experience working in companies."
Inspiring prospective students
In addition to her studies, Julieta is committed to inspiring prospective students to study at Summa. "I give presentations, facilitate open evenings, and visit pre-vocational secondary schools. Many students don't know exactly what a service-related degree entails. I enjoy giving them a realistic understanding of this and showing them the opportunities they have in the business world later on."
