Bootcamp for fashion students

July 04, 2025

Working in the fashion industry can sometimes feel like a top-level sport. First-year fashion students went to boot camp.

One minute you're still at the sewing machine, the next you're doing push-ups, squats, rope battling, skipping, and relay races. First-year students from Summa Fashion took on a boot camp at Strijp-S. A healthy lifestyle is, of course, also important in the fashion world. That's why students from Summa Sport organized this sports afternoon, focusing on the importance of a healthy body.

Yoel, one of the boot camp organizers: "Groups can earn points with every assignment. Ultimately, only the best group receives a prize. We want to give the groups that extra drive to keep going."

"It's nice to get to know each other a bit better, but I think it could have been a bit more challenging," says Teck, a Junior Stylist student. "Also to increase the participants' motivation, so they really want to win." Fellow student Emma, on the other hand, found it quite challenging, even though she works out twice a week. "That's because you have to do exercises you don't do very often. It's really fun, though."
