A new chapter in ICT
On Monday, January 22nd, doors to new opportunities opened for the participants of our Tech Support Employee training. During a heartwarming ceremony, they proudly received their well-deserved certificates.
Social mission
Brainport Development saw the growing demand for ICT professionals at the vocational level. We'll need approximately 50.000 additional people in technology and IT over the next ten years. At Summa, we've committed ourselves to this social mission and set out to find a solution to this growing demand. The answer? The six-week training course. Tech support employee, which we started together with Brainport, ROC Ter Aa and other social partners.
The training serves as an accessible gateway to the fascinating world of ICT. UWV en Learning and work office We found suitable and motivated participants, and all participants successfully completed the training. Almost all participants have already found jobs!
What makes the Tech Support program so unique? According to instructor Chrétien van Geet, it's the human approach. Participants received classes three half-days a week for six weeks at Sterrenlaan, one of our Summa locations. They were also welcome to come and learn with us on other days.
A celebration of successes
During the certificate ceremony, director Patricia van der Linden opened the celebratory gathering. Richard Kerste, Labor Market Project Manager at Brainport Development, then shared his insights into the project, and the Leerwerkloket (Learning and Work Desk) also spoke admiringly of the participants and their successes. Finally, the certificates were presented by instructor Chrétien, and the event concluded with well-deserved drinks.
Thanks to everyone involved and of course to the companies that gave the participants the opportunity to discover the world of ICT.
