I combine design with programming

Last year, I was in my fourth year of pre-vocational secondary education (MAVO) and was exploring my next major. I already had a good idea of what I'd be interested in, having worked in IT for years. I attended the open house at Summa and took a masterclass. That gave me a good feeling about the program. I found the school building welcoming and spoke with excellent teachers.

I was already very active setting up servers and editing scripts and websites. I taught myself programming languages like Lua, JavaScript, CSS, and C#. The material offers sufficient challenge, and I can get extras, such as in the differentiated learning class I'm seriously considering. Everyone develops at their own pace, and that's possible within our program. You also make a lot of your own choices.

I can express my creativity in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, InDesign, and After Effects. On top of that, I'm currently learning to program and will soon offer both services as a freelancer. Then I'll be an ideal partner for clients: I'll provide complete solutions. I know other companies that can do that, and I'm looking forward to it. Combining two worlds, instead of separating design and programming. My training at Summa ICT will expand my opportunities.
