In high school, I chose healthcare. But I was looking for more of a challenge, and I enjoy sports. That's why I chose VeVa. I really enjoy the teamwork and collaboration with my class. Of course, it's also a man's world, but I'm perfectly fine with that.
The challenge of providing care in the barracks or on deployment is that you have far fewer resources at your disposal. Highlights so far include self-help/comrade-in-arms support. It's like first aid, but a bit more exciting than in the hospital, because now you're helping your comrade while under pressure.
At the bivouac, we were allowed to shoot in a simulation. It was really cool. The rifle you're shooting with really gives off that recoil."
