Summa receives top score from Inspectorate
Eindhoven, October 30, 2024 – Summa, the largest vocational education institution in the southern Netherlands, has received the exceptional "good" rating in the four-yearly survey by the Education Inspectorate. This high rating, which is rarely awarded, underscores the quality of education Summa provides to thousands of students in the region.
The Inspectorate is impressed with Summa's vision of personalized and flexible education. A phased approach allows students to determine their own learning path, with appropriate guidance and a clear focus on their needs. This approach aligns closely with the challenges of the regional labor market, particularly in the Brainport region, where Summa is a key partner. The Inspectorate notes that this vision and its focus on quality are evident throughout the organization.
Students first
At Summa, students are central, a core value that, according to the Education Inspectorate, sounds good on paper and is also embodied in practice. Summa's engagement with social issues and focus on future-oriented, flexible education are praised. The educational institution prepares students not only for today's job market but also for the world of tomorrow, a vision deeply rooted in the organization.

The Education Inspectorate's four-yearly inspection is an integral part of Summa's quality assurance system. The Inspectorate's feedback is actively used for improvement, which the Inspectorate considers a very special achievement.
Striving for improvement
Summa proudly reflects on an intensive but instructive research period. A total of around 250 employees contributed to the study. It was a period filled with numerous conversations and a significant demand for information: approximately 800 (!) documents were shared with the Inspectorate. Both education and support services demonstrated Summa's values: a warm heart for students and a strong focus on educational quality. With this achievement as a foundation, Summa continues to build the future of its students and adult learners.
