Interesting facts about the training and profession of Sterile Medical Device Technician.

• In an average hospital, thousands of different medical devices used.
• You can only take this course in the bbl-variant follow, you don't have an internship but you actually get to work.
• Most workplaces can be found in Hospitals, but you can also work for commercial companies or private clinics.
• There are sometimes misunderstandings about this, but you will learn this during this course no medical procedures to perform.
• During the training, there are excursions to central sterilization departments (CSAs). You will also visit the Anatomical Pathology Museum in Nijmegen. And there is a study trip to GermanyThere you will visit factories that make and repair medical instruments.
• You can only take this course at three locations in the Netherlands follow, you are in class with students from different provinces.
• You work with reusable and single-use medical devices: reusables and disposables (for example spraying)
• You have accurate are, you work according to strict rules.
• In this work you contribute special clothing, such as an operating room suit, gloves, a waterproof apron and a face mask.
