Montessori Rainbow Path opened

Trans boy Luuk (16) and Henk Slagt have opened a rainbow path at the Montessori College Eindhoven.

Transgender boy Luuk (16) and Henk Slagt, member of the Executive Board, jointly opened a rainbow path in the courtyard of the Montessori College. This took place in the presence of large numbers of students, staff and Eindhoven Alderman Stijn Steenbakkers.

The latter spoke eloquently about the importance of personal dignity. "I just became a father again," the politician said. He realizes that the child's gender doesn't matter. Ultimately, what matters is that he's happy.

Executive Board member Henk Slagt, during a short speech, expressed his pride in Luuk for choosing his own path. "I'm incredibly proud of him, his strength, and his courage. He's a true source of inspiration for other pupils and students, and for everyone seeking their own path. How fortunate we are to have such great people among us!"
