Learning together through feedback at SWV

September 18 2025

“It was great to see how everyone was open to feedback and thought about the case together.” – Rian Kuepers, board secretary at SWV

Rian Kuepers has been working at the Dutch Collaborative Partnership (SWV) since 2020. There, she and her colleagues are committed to providing appropriate and increasingly inclusive education for all children in the region. The SWV ensures that every child receives an education that meets their educational needs. This requires not only collaboration between schools, municipalities, and youth care services, but also a strong and collaborative team within the organization itself.

Learning from and with each other

Recently, the operations team—consisting of colleagues from the secretariat, finance, the parent support center, and the operations and quality manager—attended a peer review meeting in collaboration with Summa. The theme: giving and receiving feedback.

"What I found particularly special was that we weren't just given theory, but were immediately translated into an interactive workshop," says Rian. "Everyone brought in a case study, one of which was discussed in detail. It was valuable to look at a situation from different perspectives and learn how others handle it."

Concrete result

The meeting yielded not only new insights but also lasting change. Rian: "We've agreed to make feedback a standard item on the agenda of our internal meetings. This way, the topic stays fresh and we can truly make progress together."

Why intervision?

Peer supervision is a powerful way for teams to grow. By discussing cases, sharing experiences, and providing honest feedback, it creates space to learn from and with each other. For the SWV, this means strengthening internal collaboration.
