Summa delivers two top performers for the Brainport region!

Two Summa students received awards at the Noordhof Prize ceremony in Veldhoven on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. We are proud of Tijn Rooijakkers, winner in the Junior Professional Talent category, and Pascal Ten Zijthoff, winner in the Lateral Entry Professional Talent category.

Tijn (22) from Oirschot works as a machinist at VDL and follows the training production technician level 4 at Summa Techniek. The jury praised him as someone who takes big steps, is driven, and never stops learning. His motto: "Only perfection is good enough."

Pascal (33) from Valkenswaard made the switch from education to technology. In 2,5 years he grew at W-Techniek Brabant into a respected mechanic. He is training at Summa first mechanic mechanical installations home at the Brainport Industries Campus.
The jury said of Pascal: "Eager to learn, driven, and already mentoring others. He's far from finished learning." He's clear about working in technology: "I'm now doing what I love: creating something that truly benefits someone!"

The Noordhof Prize honors craftsmanship and stimulates the manufacturing industry in the Brainport region. The event is made possible by Philips, KMWE, DAF, VDL, Eindhovense Fabrikantenkring, and Summa, among others.
