From Summa to The American Dream
Tycho Meulebeek
I started diving at a young age. My dream is to reach the Olympics. And to start my own business. That's why I started the International Business program at Summa in 2019. Thanks to excellent guidance, I've always been able to combine top-level sports and studying effectively. Clear agreements were always made at school, the teachers were transparent, and the program is very well-structured.
I received a customized plan for math, English, and Dutch. This, along with a coach for these subjects, allowed me to complete them in my first year. This gave me more time to focus on vocational subjects. In 2021, I received a serious offer to attend a university in America. A fantastic opportunity to train at a high level and pursue a rewarding degree.
It did mean I had to graduate from Summa in January 2022, instead of July. Luckily, Summa was very helpful. We devised a plan with additional internships, continued summer study, and a customized exam program. In January, I had my diploma! Now I'm studying International Business at California Baptist University in Los Angeles and coaching with the LA Lancers. An important step towards my dream.
