All-round interior professional (bbl)

Specialist in floor coverings, window coverings and sun blinds

As an all-round interior decorator (also known as a home decorator), you are the specialist in laying floor coverings, installing window coverings, and sun blinds, both in homes and other buildings.

As a versatile interior decorator (also known as a home decorator), you specialize in laying carpets, installing window coverings, and installing blinds, both in homes and other buildings. You're an expert in the techniques of home decor. You're comfortable working with a variety of materials in all sorts of spaces. You'll lay carpet, vinyl, or laminate flooring, hang curtains, and install (electric) blinds.

You'll work in simple, rectangular rooms, as well as spaces with curves or open staircases. Before starting the job, you'll carefully measure the space. Because you're the expert, you'll guide colleagues who accompany you on client projects. And you'll be the client's point of contact.

During the course, you'll learn all the specialized installation techniques for flooring types on floors and stairs, as well as window coverings and blinds. Measuring rooms and determining the quantities of materials to use is also part of the course. Naturally, you'll also receive instruction in general subjects such as Dutch, English, math, and career and citizenship.

The course was developed in consultation with and as part of a national campaign by the Project Design Industry Association and the INretail Industry Association.
