You will learn this

In this practical vocational course, you'll develop into a skilled and confident healthcare professional. You'll learn not only how to deliver high-quality care but also how to ensure that quality within your team and organization. You'll look beyond your own work: you'll work on process innovation and improvement, and you'll appreciate the person behind the care.

You'll delve into current laws and regulations, such as the GDPR, the Long-Term Care Act, the Care and Compulsion Act, and the Healthcare Institutions Quality Act. You'll also learn to work with quality assurance systems, protocols, and guidelines for safe, hygienic, and responsible care.

You develop skills to:

  • to identify bottlenecks and initiate improvements;
  • to communicate clearly and provide feedback in an appropriate manner;
  • to deal professionally with ethical dilemmas;
  • to apply quality frameworks in practice;
  • to participate actively and substantively in consultation moments.

A key component of the course is job supervision. You'll learn how to guide new colleagues, interns, and volunteers in a way that suits their level and learning goals. You'll provide clear instructions, create a safe learning environment, and help them grow in their work. You'll also learn to evaluate objectively and provide coaching. Furthermore, you'll work on your own development through reflection, feedback, and targeted learning.
