The course consists of 2 days:

Topics covered on the first day

• Personal hygiene (and infection prevention)
  • What should you pay attention to regarding infection prevention and basic personal hygiene?
• Mobility, transfer and ADL
  • Moving from bed to chair;
  • Dealing with a wheelchair and walker;
  • Assisting with personal care;
  • Assistance with dressing and undressing (there is the possibility to deepen this through the MBO partial training course 'Providing individual basic care C0163').

Topics covered on the second day

• Dealing with residents
• The elderly and people with dementia and approaches
• Most common somatic disorders;
• Support with eating and drinking;
• Atmosphere when eating and drinking, hygiene when eating and drinking, serving and storing food.
