What are you becoming?
As an ICT system engineer, you can work for a wide variety of organizations. You're needed wherever a computer network or information system is managed. You'll help install mobile devices, troubleshoot malfunctions, and manage IT infrastructure and software. After completing this program, you can also continue your studies at a university of applied sciences (HBO). For example, HBO-ICT (Computer Science), Technical Computer Science, or Cyber Security & Cloud programs.

During the program, you can choose the Cyber Security Engineer specialization.
Acceleration period
If you perform well, you may be able to complete some parts of the program in a shorter timeframe. After successfully completing this "acceleration period," you may be able to advance to a higher year, shortening the total duration of your studies.

Mhbo: in 6 years vocational education and higher professional education
Are you sure you want to continue on to higher professional education after completing vocational education (MBO)? Then our MHBO track might be just what you need. With the MHBO track, you can earn both your MBO and HBO diplomas in 6 years. You'll first earn your MBO level 3 diploma in 4 years. Then, you'll move on to HBO, where you can earn a bachelor's degree in ICT in another 3 years. You can also choose to complete the track with an Associate Degree after just 4 years.
Statutory tuition fees
The statutory tuition fee for the 2026-2027 school year is 1.511 euros. Check DUO.nl for possible student finance.
Other costs
You only pay this if you are 1 years or older at the start of the school year (18 August).

What prior education do you need?
For the vocational training (level 3) and middle management training (level 4) you must meet one of the following conditions:
- You have a diploma in pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track, a theoretical pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track, or a mixed pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) track.
- You have an (older) diploma from lbo, vbo, mavo or mavo-vbo.
- You have a basic vocational training diploma (level 2) or a diploma from another vocational training course (level 3).
- You have proof that you successfully completed the first three years of pre-university or senior general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo). Or you have another diploma or certificate recognized by the government.
Additionally
If you have an All-round IT employee or ICT support technician diploma, level 3, you may be able to complete the training course at an accelerated pace.
You will be invited for a personal interview or introductory meeting where you will get to know the school and we will see if this course is a good fit for you.
