After your education
After completing the IT Employee training, you can start working right away. You'll support colleagues with IT questions, assist with technical issues, and ensure systems remain operational. With your diploma, you can work as a helpdesk employee or IT support worker at companies, shops, schools, town halls, or hospitals.
Do you want to continue learning? Then you can progress to a level 3 course, such as ICT support technician, or to level 4, for example the training ICT system engineer.
What does your education look like?
In the first year, you'll attend school five days a week. In the second year, you'll attend classes for the first six months and do an internship for the second.
Are you eligible for the accelerated program? Then you'll also attend school five days a week in the first year. In the second year, you'll begin your internship immediately, after which you'll complete the program.

What prior education do you need?
For basic vocational training (level 2) you must meet one of the following conditions:
- You have a diploma in pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a basic vocational track, a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a framework vocational track, a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a theoretical track, or a mixed track.
- You have an (older) diploma from lbo, vbo, mavo or mavo-vbo.
- You have an entry-level training or basic vocational training diploma (level 2).
- You have proof that you have successfully completed the first three years of pre-university or senior general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo). This proof is recognized by the government.
