Electrical systems engineer (bbl)

As an electrical systems engineer, you could work at a manufacturing company, an industrial electronics or switch cabinet company, a mechanical engineering company, or a control and automation company. You could also pursue further education, for example, with a level 3 vocational education (MBO) program.

You'll work and attend classes at school one day a week. You'll also work four days a week at a training company, earning a salary.

During your studies, you choose one or more electives to specialize or broaden your knowledge. For example, Advanced Technology and Materials Knowledge, Responding to Innovations, or 3D Drawing. For basic vocational training (level 2) you must meet one of the following conditions:

• You have a diploma in pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a basic vocational track, a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a framework vocational track, a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a theoretical track, or a mixed track.
• You have an (older) diploma from lbo, vbo, mavo or mavo-vbo.
• You have an entry-level training or basic vocational training diploma (level 2).
• You have proof that you have successfully completed the first three years of pre-university or senior general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo). This proof is recognized by the government.

It is important that you have had subjects from the Technology sector in your package.

You will be invited for a personal interview or introductory meeting where you will get to know the school and we will see if this course is a good fit for you.
