Mechanical installation engineer (bbl)

Installing and maintaining systems!

As a mechanical installation engineer, your work is varied. You'll be involved in technical matters, meet many people, and work in both new and existing buildings. You'll be working alongside an experienced engineer, assisting with the installation and maintenance of pipes for gas, water, sewage, and central heating systems.

As a mechanical installation engineer, your work is varied. You'll be involved in technical matters, meet many people, and work in both new and existing buildings. You'll be working alongside an experienced engineer, assisting with the installation and maintenance of pipes for gas, water, sewage, and central heating systems.

During the training, you'll learn how to connect boilers, central heating boilers, and radiators, among other things. You'll also receive instruction in installing and finishing sinks, toilets, kitchens, and bathrooms. Real plumbing work. You'll learn to work with working drawings so you know exactly what needs to be done.

You will receive lessons in the modern environment of Brainport Industries Campus.

Students who want to work as a plumber or heating engineer will find a great challenge in this program.

The Cooperation Organization for Vocational Education and Business (SBB) has designated it as a program with a high job prospects in the Southeast Brabant region. This assessment assesses the likelihood of employment at the level and within the field of study, provided you complete the program within the standard study period.

What prior education do you need?

For basic vocational training (level 2) you must meet one of the following conditions:

  • You have a diploma in pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a basic vocational track, a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a framework vocational track, a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a theoretical track, or a mixed track.
  • You have an (older) diploma from lbo, vbo, mavo or mavo-vbo.
  • You have an entry-level training or basic vocational training diploma (level 2).
  • You have proof that you have successfully completed the first three years of pre-university or senior general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo). This proof is recognized by the government.

During a personal interview or introductory meeting, we'll determine if this program is a good fit for you. To participate in this program, you must work at an accredited training company. If you don't work for such a company, we'll help you find a suitable work placement. You'll be responsible for finding one yourself.
