Technician for electrical installations in the built environment (bbl)

As a technician for electrical installations in the built environment, you will work for an electrical installation company or network company. You can also continue your studies at a university of applied sciences (HBO) or follow the post-secondary vocational education (MBO) program for Intermediate Electrical Installation Technician (MIT-E ) . This post-secondary vocational program can also be taken in individual modules.

You'll attend classes at school one evening a week and one full day every other week. You'll also work at an accredited training company.

Search by your Crebo number (see the box on the right of this page) to view the OER for the current academic year. This will give you a general idea of what's expected of you when you start the program. The OER for the upcoming academic year will be available in July.

The statutory tuition fee for the 2026-2027 school year is 762 euros.

During your studies, you choose one or more electives to specialize or to broaden your education. Examples include In-depth Technology and Materials Knowledge, Responding to Innovations, or 3D Drawing. Throughout your studies, you will receive more information about the electives you can take. To be admitted to this course you need:

• MBO diploma first engineer electrical installations for residential and commercial buildings.

If you meet these entry requirements, you already have extensive knowledge of the subject. You will therefore be exempt from the first year. You will start in the second year of the program and can complete it in two years.

If you have a level 3 vocational diploma in a different field and you want to take this course, please contact the school. 

During a personal interview or introductory meeting, we'll determine if this program is a good fit for you. To participate in this program, you must work at an accredited training company. If you don't work for such a company, we'll help you find a suitable work placement. You'll be responsible for finding one yourself.
