Your future in the security industry

With the Safety & Craftsmanship (VeVa) programs, you receive a diploma for each completed specialization. This also qualifies you for employment outside the Defense Department. Our programs also offer opportunities for the police or the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee. You can find more information about professions and current job opportunities on the "Professions in Focus" website. You can, of course, also continue your education.

My best experience was during the Oktoberfest in Sittard. There, in a large party tent, I had to deal with everything for five days. I was thrown to the lions, but I came out of it perfectly. They see how you react to, for example, difficult and cheerful people.

I worked in a kind of hospital for prisoners and those under TBS (Forensic Psychiatric Hospital). There, I checked the rooms and the belongings that visitors brought with them. I monitored the camera footage, and if an incident occurred, my colleague and I would go and investigate.
