Flexible education
Flexible education is education that offers students freedom of choice. This allows students to pursue education independently of time and place, at their own pace and according to their own schedule. Teaching methods and learning resources can also be offered flexibly. Flexible education can relate to what students learn (freedom of choice regarding content, education tailored to their background) and how students learn (at their own time and place, at their own pace, at their own level, and in their own way). We believe it is crucial to enable personalized learning at all stages of life. In this way, Summa meets the needs of students and the labor market.
A suitable digital learning and working environment is a prerequisite for the intended and well-functioning learning community and for enabling personalized learning paths.
Lifelong Development
Not so long ago, you went to school, earned a diploma, started working, and retired after 40 years. That linear career path is definitely a thing of the past. Significant social and technological developments mean you constantly need new knowledge and skills to remain sustainably employable in the job market and participate in society. So you continue to learn new things throughout your life. We provide customized solutions, tailored to the learning and development needs of alumni, employees, job seekers, and (participating) companies. So that talent can continue to grow. Sustainability
Summa focuses on educating people sustainably, building lasting connections, and contributing to a sustainable environment. An environment where students and staff are aware of their responsibility for a better world. We motivate everyone to contribute to a sustainable society by using their own talents.
Mindset
The mindset is about the change needed to achieve our strategic goals. Based on Summa's core values, we contribute to the happiness of students, trainees, and staff. We do this through the interplay of relational work (I belong), personal leadership (I am free), and a talent climate (I can do it). This creates a meeting place and safe learning environment where everyone can develop.
