Do you want to make an impact on the future of technical education in Eindhoven as a Workshop Planner at Summa Techniek? Are you the organizer who effortlessly switches between planning, technology, and collaboration with the business community?

'Talent for Semiconductors' Program

Where technical innovation and development converge. Our challenge? By 2030, the Brainport region will need an additional 26.000 technical employees in the semiconductor sector, of which over 10.000 will be MBO graduates. The Microchip Talent Strengthening Plan, or the 'Talent for Semiconductors' program, addresses this by not only attracting new students but also retaining existing employees and providing upskilling and reskilling for new talent. By joining forces, we make optimal use of each other's expertise and increase our impact.

Summa Techniek: Where technical craftsmanship and innovation meet

At Summa, we believe in lifelong learning. Our students and trainees discover and strengthen their talents in the heart of the Brainport region, where innovation and technology continuously challenge each other. Summa Techniek provides training in various technical manufacturing techniques through regular education and Lifelong Learning (LLL), within the fields of mechatronics, production technology, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. In doing so, we develop practice-oriented technical education and training that aligns directly with the latest applications in industry, including the rapidly growing semiconductor sector. And we need you for that!

Your impact as a Workshop Planner

  • You ensure an efficient and clear planning of technical education and training;
  • You connect education and the business community by aligning supply and demand.

This is what you will do as a Workshop Planner

At Summa Techniek, we are looking for a Summa Techniek Workshop Planner who will be the central figure in the planning of our four workshops: mechatronics, machining, sheet metal welding, and electrical installation technology. You will coordinate the deployment of 9 instructors and ensure that various programs – from multi-year apprenticeship tracks to short vocational training courses – run smoothly and efficiently.

As Workshop Planner at Summa Techniek, you are the one who aligns everything. You provide insight into complex schedules and ensure everyone knows where they stand. You are the point of contact for instructors, project management, account managers, and companies, translating their wishes into feasible plans.

No two days are the same! One week you plan a three-day welding training course, the next week you coordinate a multi-year BBL program with a company. You carry out the work during day shifts.

Other duties:

  • Plans for various program lines:
    o Multi-year BBL programs (duration ± 2 years);
    o Welding training courses leading to industry diploma;
    o Short specialist training courses (from a few half-days to several days).
  • Managing the schedule in Excel and ensuring optimal utilization of workshops, machines, and instructors;
  • Align with stakeholders and conduct intake interviews to understand specific requirements per training;
  • Proactively communicate about changes, availability, and bottlenecks;
  • Devising creative solutions for scheduling conflicts and capacity challenges.

This is what we offer

  • A team where cooperation and responsibility are central.
  • A salary in accordance with the MBO collective labour agreement, scale 9 (between €3.344 and €4.948 per month based on full-time employment, knowledge, and experience).
  • A fixed-term contract with the intention to extend.
  • End-of-year bonus of 8,33%, 30 days of vacation per year, participation in the ABP pension fund.
  • Extensive development opportunities through training, courses and our annual development festival.

This is what we expect from you

  • You have at least three years of experience or have a higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level;
  • Experience with planning complex processes where multiple resources come together;
  • Affinity with Excel or willingness to learn it quickly;
  • Communication skills: you switch easily between instructors, companies, and colleagues;
  • Stress resistance, an overview in dynamic situations, and a pragmatic attitude.
