Social care supervisor/experienced expertise (bbl)

Helping people with your own life experiences

With your experiences, you have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the well-being and recovery of others.

The Social Care Supervisor program, including the elective "Experience Expertise," is specifically designed for people who want to translate their own profound life experiences into professional expertise. This may include experiences with exclusion mechanisms due to disruptive events, trauma, mental health and/or addiction issues, challenging living conditions, migration history, generational poverty, or histories of emotional incomprehension/neglect.

With your experiences, you have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the well-being and recovery of others. In this program, you'll learn how to approach this effectively and the aspects involved.

Practical experience is an essential part of this program, where you'll learn the specific skills and nuances of the profession through hands-on experience. This way, we optimally prepare you for a meaningful future.

What do you learn and where do you work?

As an expert by experience, you work in healthcare and/or the social sector, where you support people facing various life challenges. As an expert by experience, you are able to empathize with the challenges of others. You offer support in formulating personal goals and empower individuals to take control. Your responsibilities include providing guidance, collaborating with a team, advising based on your own experience, and maintaining contact with family and other care providers.

You will also be trained as a Social Care Supervisor. As a Social Care Supervisor, you will guide and support people with vulnerabilities. You will primarily work in elderly care or disability care. Information about this program can be found at Social care supervisor (bbl).
