Studying comes with rules and guidelines. Below you'll find an overview of the rules and guidelines that apply to all Summa students. Do you have a complaint? Then view the complaints procedures and fill out the complaint form to submit your complaint.

Student Statute

The Student Charter outlines the most important rights and obligations of students. It also describes what students can expect from Summa. The charter applies to all students at all Summa schools. In addition, each school can establish its own rules, provided they fall within the framework of the Student Charter. Download the new Student Statute.

Terms and conditions of the bpv agreement

As a student, you must sign an agreement before starting a work placement. This agreement outlines the rights and obligations of you as a student, the training company, and Summa. Regulation on unused teaching materials

If it can be demonstrated that less than 25% of the content of the mandatory purchased book or license has been used, you or a classmate can complete the web form on behalf of the class. Unused teaching materials Fill out the form. There's a chance you'll be reimbursed for the costs of that learning resource. Every year in July, Summa publishes a general information guide for the upcoming academic year. This guide contains all the information about studying at Summa. We believe it's important that you, as a student, receive accurate information about the options and general rules within our organization. We hope this general information guide will give you a good overview.

In addition to this General Information Guide, some schools have their own short study guide with practical information on matters such as class times, addresses, and accessibility. There is also a Education and Examination Regulations (OER) which provides more information about the content of the course.

Binding study advice regulations

If your progress in your studies is insufficient, the school can initiate a program in which you will receive a study recommendation. The school will attach written agreements to this recommendation. If you started your program on or after August 1, 8, this Binding study advice regulations (pdf) applies. For English click here.

The Ministry of Education annually establishes the general (generic) requirements for the subjects Dutch, mathematics, and English. These requirements are not the same for all programs and year groups. this website You can look up which requirements apply to you per level, duration of your course and year of study.

Integrity Code

This code is a guideline for properly interpreting, assessing, and weighing the integrity of one's own actions within a specific context. The intention of this code is to initiate a process of awareness of actions and behavior. View the Integrity Code.

Use of ICT resources

As soon as you start studying with us, you will receive a personal account, which gives you access to a number of ICT facilities, such as the digital learning environment, email, Wi-Fi, and online study results. A number of rules of conduct and use apply to this use, which are laid down in a ICT regulations.

Parking policy

Rules apply to all Summa school parking lots. If you don't comply, you'll be subject to penalties. Your bicycle may be moved or chained, for example, or your car may even be towed at your expense. Nobody wants that, of course. So please follow the rules. Read the rules here.
