About the vocational education

What do the different levels mean?

We train for four levels:

Level 1 – entry-level training
You perform simple tasks. You work under supervision and assist others with their work.

Level 2 – basic professional
You carry out standard tasks independently.

Level 3 – Craftsman
You work independently and are able to organize and plan. You assign tasks to employees.

Level 4 – Middle Management Officer
You'll work completely independently, supervising and coordinating activities within a department or small business.

Level 4 – specialist
You carry out work independently and are able to perform specialist work.

Can I progress to other levels?

Yes. The levels are consistent. This means that with a level 2 diploma, for example, you can continue with a level 3 program in the same field. In some cases, a level 2 diploma also allows you to progress to a level 4 program. We will always discuss your situation with you and advise you on whether you have a good chance of successfully completing the program.

What is the difference between bol and bbl?

Bol = vocational training pathway (learning and internship).

You'll go to school most of the time. You'll also do an internship at a company or institution. This is called vocational training ((work placement)In this learning pathway, you are a student and are therefore entitled to student finance (if you are 18 years or older).

Bbl = work-based learning pathway (work and study).

With this learning pathway, you have a paid or unpaid job. You also attend school one or two days a week. Because you are employed, you are not eligible for student finance.

What does lateral entry mean?

You can receive a government subsidy of up to €1.000 once a year for a training program, course, or training. This subsidy is called STAP, which stands for Stimulering Arbeidsmarkt Positie (Stimulating Labor Market Position).

Do you offer appropriate education?

Do you need support with your studies? We offer appropriate education So that everyone can successfully complete their studies. A good start to your studies increases your chances of success. Therefore, it's important that you indicate during your application if you have a diagnosed disability. This way, we can provide you with the right support from day one.
