Dental assistant (work-based learning)

You're eager to get your teeth into this training course!

With a radiant smile and beautiful teeth. That's how people leave the dental office. Thanks in part to you.

Dental assistant training

Many people seek dental assistant training because it's a fascinating profession that involves working with people. As a dental assistant, you'll speak with patients and schedule appointments. Naturally, you'll also assist the dentist. You'll prepare treatments and ensure the correct supplies are ready.

Working at the dentist with your vocational training

The dental assistant profession is multifaceted. And so is the training. You'll learn the technical aspects of the profession, the instruments, and the procedures. You'll also receive instruction in good organization, collaboration, and communication, both with colleagues and patients. You must be able to put an anxious patient at ease.

Shortened route possible

The full program generally takes three years. If it becomes apparent during your program that it's possible to shorten the program, we'll discuss this with you. Would you like more information? Please contact Birgit Eekels at birgit.eekels@summacollege.nl.
