Car damage repairer (bbl)

From classics to the latest car models, you make them beautiful again!

Boom is ho! Drivers with this braking technique are prone to damage. As a body shop technician, you'll repair it for them. It's a real challenge: you'll remove dents from fenders, hoods, and doors. This training also teaches you how to repair or replace car windows and install bumpers.

Safety is paramount in this profession and at school. You'll be handling tools that, if misused, can actually cause damage. You'll learn how to handle these tools during your training. You'll also use personal safety equipment in the workplace and during practical lessons at school.

You'll be working with cars all day long. From classics to the latest models, you'll make them beautiful again. You'll take your lessons in a special practical center, a real workshop. You'll learn to work with the latest technical equipment. This way, you'll be well prepared for a career in automotive engineering!

What are you becoming?

As an auto body repairer, you might work at a body shop or the auto body repair department of a car dealership. You can also continue on to the training program. First car damage repairerThis training will then last 2 years.

You'll work four days a week at a training company and attend school one day a week. Each lesson consists of half a day of theory and half a day of practical training.

The training courses Car Damage Repairer and Car painter Start with a joint year. From the second year onwards, you'll focus more on car body repair.

What prior education do you need?

For basic vocational training (level 2) you must meet one of the following conditions:

  • You have a diploma in pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a basic vocational track, a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a framework vocational track, a pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) with a theoretical track, or a mixed track.
  • You have an (older) diploma from lbo, vbo, mavo or mavo-vbo.
  • You have an entry-level training or basic vocational training diploma (level 2).
  • You have proof that you have successfully completed the first three years of pre-university or senior general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo). This proof is recognized by the government.

Work at a recognized training company

During a personal interview or introductory meeting, we'll determine if this program is a good fit for you. To participate in this program, you must work at an accredited training company. If you don't work for such a company, we'll help you find a suitable work placement. You'll be responsible for finding one yourself.
