Optician (ball)

An eye for your customers

Your eyes are incredibly important. A good eye exam, the right glasses or contact lenses… it makes all the difference. People want to see well and look good. And you make that happen!

Your eyes are incredibly important. A good eye exam, the right glasses or contact lenses… it makes all the difference. People want to see well and look good. And you make that happen!

As an optician, you need extensive knowledge about eyes, vision, and health. Glasses or contact lenses? You offer advice. Which glasses suit which face? Hard or soft lenses, daily or night lenses? You know all the pros and cons. You enjoy helping your customers. You also enjoy grinding, repairing, and fitting lenses.

You'll also manage staff and oversee the store, workshop, and eye exam room. You'll ensure there's enough selection and stock in the store. You'll keep up with the latest fashions and manage your store's advertising. And you'll develop sound business strategies. In short, you'll keep the entire store running smoothly. How? You'll learn that in school!

Curious about the possibilities of the profession? On the page werkenindeoptiek.nl you will find everything about it!
