Bbl-plus traject
Bbl-plus trajectory: Practical training at Summa Techniek
Many employees in the Brainport region learned their trade at the Philips and DAF company schools. A key characteristic was the direct link between theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Summa Techniek's vocational training program works in exactly the same way.
This means we'll take over the practical component and student guidance from training companies. You'll receive a customized program at the Brainport Industries Campus (BIC).
What does the training look like?
You'll have one day of theory per week at Summa Techniek. This is your regular vocational training (BBL) and also accounts for 20% of your full program. You'll also receive practical training, which is 40% on-the-job and 40% at school.
There are at least two progress interviews in the first school year.
How long does bbl-plus last?
The average training duration is:
- MBO level 2: 2 years
- MBO level 3: 2 years. BBL-plus is offered in the first two years.
Examination
In many cases, you can conduct the Proficiency Test at BIC. Your training company doesn't need to reserve production capacity for this.
If a welding diploma is required for your training, the welding course can be an optional part of the work-based learning (BBL)-plus program.
Agreements with the training company
You have an apprenticeship contract with the training company. Your company pays your salary and also the costs of the vocational training program. The company can apply for a subsidy for this program (see costs and subsidies). We document the arrangements with your training company in an agreement. The company can terminate this agreement at any time; the notice period is one month.
Your training company, S-BB and Summa Techniek will also enter into a vocational training agreement with you.
Advantages for both students and training companies
- You will receive good vocational training, so you can start working in your company right away
- You follow an individual path, which means that you receive a lot of personal attention
- Your practical trainer spends less time on guidance
- Summa Techniek assists in the recruitment and selection of potential candidates
Costs and subsidies for the training company
The practical training program (BBL+) costs €11.250 per academic year. Prices are subject to change.
The amount is including:
