SBB supports training companies and schools in training skilled professionals in the workplace. The website provides an overview of available subsidies and funds. SBB is also responsible for accrediting and supervising training companies.
Subsidy for Strategic Training in Healthcare and Welfare (SO-ZenW)
This subsidy is a one-time training subsidy for employers in healthcare and social work. It provides financial support for training activities in 2026 that contribute to recruitment, progression, and strengthening knowledge and skills within the AZWA theme. The application period runs from November 24 to December 19, 2025, and this application can only be submitted once per organization.
Subsidy scheme for compensation for apprenticeships of lateral entrants

Subsidy scheme for practical training in the third educational path
The Subsidy Scheme for Practical Training in the Third Learning Path encourages employers to offer students practical training placements and/or work-study placements. The subsidy covers the costs of supervising students.

SLIM: Subsidy scheme for Learning and Development in SMEs
Starting in 2020, the Minister of Social Affairs and Employment will make €48 million available for initiatives aimed at stimulating learning and development in SMEs. An additional €1,2 million will be made available for the same purpose in large companies in the agricultural, hospitality, and recreational sectors.
